Customer Reviews

Get Together Mini Portable Audio System is rated 2.9 out of 5 by 67.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great unit with 1 glaring flaw While I love the sound from this speaker (almost as good as the bigger Get Together unit which I also have), just as with the other reviewers I decided to return it for the very same reason: the female announcer when powering on and off the unit. Feels like I'm in a bad Power Rangers episode. It's too loud, and not adjustable. I wouldn't mind this so much if you could adjust "her" volume, or turn her voice off, but you can't do either, so back it goes for the bigger brother. It's bigger, but sound is overall more richer.BUT, if you can tolerate this one flaw the speaker is well worth the money, hence the 4 stars (it would've been 5 if it wasn't for that voice).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Shame on House of Marley for putting out such an inferior product The only purpose of the Get Together Mini is to convince you to trade it in for the far superior larger version. Why else incorporate the Mini with a loud, booming, EQ-sabotaged notification voice? And make its Bluetooth hardware so that older phones will result in terrible audio quality? And have a shaky anchor system for the bass that will rattle when the quality is bad, making the problem even worse? The Get Together is still a good product, one of the best in its price ranges, but the Mini is an absolute travesty. If you're thinking of purchasing it, move along.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I hate the voice - isn't there a fix? This speaker sounds good, but the very loud powering on-off, charging is a real detriment. Who thought that would be a good idea?!!! User testing would, I am sure, have revealed how extremely annoying that is.Was a gift, so I can't return it, very sad. HOM - Isn't there a way to download an update to the software to get rid of this interrupting voice? Other than that, it is a great little speaker!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Voice Prompts I have to agree with others who complained about the voice prompts. I used it to play music while trying to fall off to sleep, it scared the s..t out of me when in the middle of the night it announced at full volume it was "Powering Down" I hope there will be a software fix soon. Otherwise it is a great speaker star rating would be a 5 not for the voice prompt that can not be turn off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Sound. I bought this speaker while on my honeymoon in the Bahamas from the gift shop. I own a Bose Soundlink 3 already butt didn't bring it. Didn't think this speaker would even come close to the Bose but when I hit the test button I was blown away. I used it the next 4 days while relaxing on a hammock and it literally entertained half the resort. The sound is clear, loud and full. I'm not sure why anyone would rate this low just because of the startup voice. It's for literally a half a second and isn't bad at all. Highly recommend it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Im at a loss.... I bought this early June (2017), in early august the charging port on the speaker broke off. I figured its just ware and tare as I use it often enough. I tried calling, emailing etc etc to get a fix. Im even happy paying for the repairs. They will not return my inquires. I have no idea how to handle this. The speaker was great, but the service is so far terrible. Im happy to change this review if you get back to me, but for now I have no other course of action.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Automated Voice Kills this thing I'm listening to this speaker right now, and the audio is very, very good for a unit this size, and just good in general for any speaker. HOWEVER, like everyone else here mentions, the voice prompts are LOUD and super annoying. What a waste, it's a great product otherwise. It's loud enough to wake up my kids when I turn it off. I'm taking it back tomorrow and ill try my luck with the larger version which i understand (and hope to god) doesn't have 'the voice'.

Q & A

I read a lot of complaints about the volume of the female voice. Has that issue been resolved? I want to buy 2x mini's because of the pairing, because the normal speaker doesnt have pairing. Is that correct? Or is there a way to lower/adjust the voice?

Asked by: JJCV
I got the mini a couple of months ago for my birthday and the voice prompt is still there!!  It’s sucks, I use it for music when my kids sleep and the this LOUD woman is yelling battery low, plug in to charge. Or powering on/off and paired.

How do you pair two speakers?

Asked by: TechGo

Do you have to charge it when it’s right out of the box?  How do you know when it is fully charged?
