Customer Reviews

Liberate Air is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 140.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Why that case? The sound and bass is all over really good. But between the bamboo on the headphones and the plastik is a space so water can drip in easy. The Price is about 150€ or $... But the logo on the cases outside is made out of plastik?? And the hinge is also made out of plastik.. so the hinge is really shaky. Bad Case. And OK headphones

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Didn't know I needed bluetooth until these! I'm so glad I bought these, they are honestly so convenient - I never realized what a bother wires were until I could suddenly move around freely while listening to music. Also proud to have given my money to a tech company who cares about the environment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow, I LOVE these! I bought mine while I was in Japan because I have such a long flight home and the battery life is epic! Lasts longer than the battery of my device actually. Snug fit, unique look, great sound, easy pairing and environmentally sustainable to boot! This is the whole package!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply Magical! My understanding of what wireless earbuds can and should be... has just been obliterated. Simple, yet effective ideas, alongside clear instructions, sleek design, and clarity of sound make this rating an easy 5-star. A clever system of tapping on one earbud or the other engages skipping, pausing, and resuming music, as well as answering calls, etc. Even more incredible is that many of these same actions can be done with only one earbud in! The case itself charges the headphones without being overly bulky or cumbersome. And the bluetooth connection between the buds and my phone was crystal clear. I can't give this product any higher praise - well made.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from If your fine with one earbud The right earbud never connects. It is a flawed setup. Had a pair of skull candies and both paired at the same time. Would that be so difficult?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Buzzing I bought these yesterday and I have the same problem as some of the other reviews. The headphones have a weird buzzing sound especially in the left bud, it becomes very obvious when watching a video with no music it’s very loud. I love Marley everything but for the price I was disappointed in the quality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very sad I bought my liberate airs a few months ago, I would say like July. It’s been great so far and I love them but suddenly the left unit is not charging there is no red light and I tried to exhaust them by fully draining the battery and then charging it again. Still to no avail. I don’t know what to do.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn't fit, doesn't work with my bluetooth I bought these several weeks ago and I was so excited for the sustainability component, I guess I didn't read the reviews carefully. There are only 2 sizes for the insert into the ear, I have small ear canals so I have to use the smaller size and they fell out constantly. I got third-party wings, which helps, but you have to take them on & off each time because of the way the charging case works. These do not stay in my ears otherwise. I had to wear a headband all the time to keep them on. I am a petite woman and I expect that is the problem. Also, after about a week only one appears in the bluetooth search in my phone, despite blinking white just like its mate. I have contacted the company asking for help with this issue, but no response after a week of waiting. Theoretically, this is due to the setup where you can use just one headphone at a time, so you have to connect to both individually or set a "master" (side note: I didn't really like the "master" and "slave" terminology used to explain this concept in the manual of the headphones ???). In all, if you have larger ears/ear canals and maybe not an android phone (?) these should work for you. Do not require help, this company does not seem to provide it. Maybe get the plug-in headphones for better access.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product The only reason I gave this product 4 stars is because it sometimes disconnects one of the sides until I put back in the case to turn it back on. Other than that great product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Did not meet my expectations I bought these a couple of weeks ago. Where to start.... First, they have trouble syncing with my Samsung phone. Usually takes a few tries. They are rather large which means they do not sit well in my ears. The sound is very tingy. I know only to expect so much from ear buds but, I have tried other brands that have much better sound. Overall, I am very disappointed and would not recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Faulty hardware - not worth the investment Unfortunately the Liberate Air earpods were faulty straight out of the box - the right pod sporadically connected and then dropped out after a couple of minutes. Seems like this is a common theme from other reviews. There are much easier to use and better designed earpods in the market in this price range. Helpful customer service over Facebook chat, but if you are looking for reliable quality then these are not worth the investment. A shame when sustainability is a big part of their mission.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tried with 2 pairs, neither working properly I bought my first pair a few months ago, they worked fine for the first 3 weeks then all of a sudden the right earbud stopped connecting. After forgeting the devices and repairing the earbudds a few times with the same poor outcome (only left earbudd conecting) I decided to return the pair. Not giving up on these airbudds I purchased a new set with the hopes that it was the previous ones that were faulty. I just received my second pair of Liberate Airs today and had the same result from the very beginning; only the left earbudd is connecting. I have tried with several different devices (phones, computers, android, iOS) and they all present the same result. I have already filled out the return form and will go on to purchasing some wireless headphones from another brand because this is not working. In conlusion; save time and money and skip these headphones, it might last you up to a few weeks but thats about it. Unfortunatley.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Won't stay in I've had about 6 HoM headphones and 3 speakers. I was a huge fan until I got these earbuds. They cant stay in for more then 20 seconds when I sit down without moving. Very disappointed :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning design and great sound Been using these for a day and I'm already really impressed with them. The design is fantastic and separates them from the crowd. The build quality is top notch. The one thing that surprised me the most though was the sound quality. These things really do sound great. Nice full sound with the highs, mids and lows all represented really well without one overpowering the other. I tend to have troubles with getting a good seal with ear buds and although these aren't quite perfect, they are comfortable and fit better than other brands I've tried. The passive noise cancellation is also quite good. I did have a few initial paring hick-ups with the right bud not being picked up but I got there after a few attempts. All in all, I would highly recommend these earphones. They look great and also sound great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality & unique design - LOVE them! I bought these wireless earbuds so that I could listen to music while working on the computer or doing things around the house and not worry about getting tangled in the cord. They are perfect! I love the unique wood grain bamboo design that they have and the fact that they are made from recycled plastic and fabric. The quality is amazing and holds a 9 hour battery play life as stated. The portable charging case is a great bonus! I can charge on the go and easily pair my earbuds from inside the charging case. Overall I give this two thumbs up and a 10 out of 10! I would definitely recommend this set and purchase these as gifts in the future! As another bonus, I saw on the box that for every purchase the company plants one tree! I would give this set an even higher rating if I could just for being so eco-conscious & friendly and for giving back!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective, unreliable and buggy. Plenty of connectivity issues. Very weak sound only on one side. Pairing doesn't work properly. E-mailed the company and received no answer at all.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Please do not buy this product! I've had mine for a few months. The first few weeks they were okay, now it's near impossible to get them paired to my laptop or phone. When I do manage to get them paired, one of them won't work at all.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Right ear bud quit working Got these as a gift, opened box paired them easily and sound was great I loved them! Then I put them in the case to make sure they are fully charge. 2 hours later tried to use them again but the right ear bud is dead no light flash nothing wiggled it a little to make sure it was seated properly in the charger. Super disappointed cause I thought they were great.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't work I'm able to connect both buds via Bluetooth but only one works, the other remains mute. I tried it with two devices, with my phone as well as with my tablet. The problem is same in both devices. They give only a support phone number but I cannot call. I'm in Sri Lanka. Does anyone knows a support E-Mail?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Keeps losing connection I got the earbuds for 1 week now. It's easy to connect, but after some minutes, the right bud loses connection, and says "power off", some minutes later the other bud has the same problem. They are both fully charged.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect music in a sustainable way I love the Liberate Air they fit perfectly in my ears and the case fits perfectly in my pocket. I love what House of marley have done with the concept of wireless earbuds but i wish that they didn't use plastic Even though it have been recycled. The most perfect airbuds and for an affordble price as well 10/10 There are some negative points with the earbuds which is the short usb c charging cable.

I receive the headphones about two months ago, everything was working amazing. Until they stoped wanting to connect, the red light turns on showing that it is charging, but when I take them off de case no white light appears, and they do not connect.

My rightbearbud won’t pair with my phone or with the left earbud, this problem occured twice in the past. the problem was solved by the customerservice after I sent the earbuds to them. Is there a other way?

Asked by: FeddeH
We are sorry to hear this. We recommend trying to reset the ear buds. 1. Remove the Liberate Air Earbuds from your device (forget from Bluetooth settings). 2. Place earbuds in the charging case 3. Close the charging case 4. Open the charging case 5. Press the force pairing button on the back of the charging case for 2s, this button is located on the back of the charging case 6. Remove earbuds from the charging case 7. From the Bluetooth menu, select “Liberate Air L” or “Liberate Air R” to connect earbuds. 8. After connecting, there will be an additional pairing request for “Headset” (Liberate Air L or R.) 9. Accept request for additional pairing. 10. Earbuds will now be paired to device.

Can I use them as a Multipoint earphones?

Asked by: adrianagonv
No, you have to connect to one device at a time. Don't buy these because House of Marley WILL NOT REFUND you even if you send them back the product and all packaging, instruction materials, etc.

Hello I just received the earphones as a gift and love them already. I have only a small issue when trying to connect them with my old iPod 7th gen. They connect but suddenly the right earbud disconnects and shuts down and sometimes both of them.

I already paired my headphones to my phone using the case, yet when i took the headphones to the gym (no case) they refused to pair. Everyone seems to have the same issue. Why is this even a problem?? Its the main funtion of bluetooth headphones!

Asked by: Rowby
It seems they go to sleep if not paired with the phone and out of the case. Seems like something you would expect out of a cheaper product. The house of marley quality seems to be going down hill quick over the years unfortunately.

My earbuds won't turn off anymore when I put it back in the case. What can I do?

Asked by: Corr12
You can always return them for another pair. I did that in the past with faulty headphones a few years ago and House of Marley’s customer service was amazing. Though take my advice with a grain of salt because more recently I sent back the Liberate Air earbuds and I’m still waiting on them to send my refund (3 months later)
