Customer Reviews

Get Together Mini Portable Bluetooth Speaker is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 232.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from will not recharge. I bought this speaker at best buy in Toronto, Canada. Initially pleased with product, style, sound etc. Then the charge cable seemed to be "broken", but it was not the cable, as I found out after purchasing several new ones; the speaker would not recharge. Very disappointed. And I see this is a consistent issue with this product. I really hope the BestBuy in Toronto where I purchased it will refund my money I would not recommend this particular product to anyone until the issue with the port is resolved.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Broken Charger Port Got this as a xmas gift and my experience was similar to a lot of the reviews on here. The micro usb charger was really fussy from day one and now it's broken and won't charge at all. I didn't use it very often (maybe charged 8-10 times in its life) which sort of makes it even more annoying. It looked good and sounded good when it worked. Note: I sent customer support an email about a week ago and got no reply (not even an automated one), so posting here.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Charger port broke after a year, but also don’t ho I bought this speaker last summer. Charger always seemed loose and speaker wouldn’t play for more than a couple of hours on charge. Now the charger pice broke off into the charger plug. Very disappointed. Sound was good quality for the money, but not worth it otherwise.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from CHARGE PORT BREAKS EASY Great speaker with amazing sound but Within a year of owning this speaker my charge port broke and wouldn’t hold a charge. I had my speaker replaced with my receipt. Within a month the new speakers charge port also broke. Don’t waste your money.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Charging port broken We bought the Get Together 26 months ago and now the mini usb charging port is broken. We are just out of Warranty although we never misused it. The port was pretty fragile from the start and the mini USB never fit tighlty into the port so I assume that this caused our issue. It's pretty annoying that this 'just' happened right after Warranty expired... We like the Get Together and I don't like to cause electronic waste unnecessarily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great speaker Amazing sound. Everyone who is complaining about the voice prompts needs to get over it. Its not that big of a deal. I’ve had mine for over 4 years. I still love it! Stylish, portable, good sound....something did happen to the charging port recently but other than that I would recommend this to everyone

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I enjoy this speaker I have no problems with this speaker! I have not heard of any hissing or humming noise when it’s connected to Bluetooth. It’s loud and works really well. It’s also eq very well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not recommended, port gets damaged easily I’ve been using this speaker for a year or so, and now the charging port is damaged and I can’t use it anymore. That’s a shame. Reading the reviews here I understand it’s a common defect with this speaker. Unfortunately I didn’t know that before I bought it.. I called the local store that I bought it from and they basically said there’s nothing to do... not recommended at all! Super fragile and bad quality.

Is there an app or software that can be used tune the speaker? I just got mine and I found it quite weird that it sounds very muddy when I sit close to it but the sound very big and clear when I am far away from it.

Asked by: Kaguyasama
Hey, I know this speaker to be bigger in the bass than others, and this accounts for what I would agree is a « muddy » sound for the odd recording now and then.

Hello. just bought a get together mini and was wondering about how to take care of the battery. Does it work like a laptop one that you leave charging all the time or should it be used like a phone one that you only charge when it has no battery left?

Asked by: Joana
you will know when the "battery is near empty", because the nice lady tells you so.

The charge port is completely busted, which seems to be a problem other people are having according to reviews. Can the charge port be replaced? The USB doesn't work to charge it either.

I have my speaker always connected to a USB and aux cord at work. I play music through my computer and every several minutes the voice prompt comes on and says “charging”. Is there a way to turn that specific feature off?

Asked by: VW Toronto
Thank you for your question. There is no way to turn the voice prompts off. We suggest Not operating the speaker while it's plugged in so the voice prompt won't be constant.

Sometimes my Gettogether is too loud. My apartment is small & the speaker is next to the table. When I have dinner guests & iPhone music playing on the speaker - PHONE VOLUME ON MINIMUM - it's just a notch too loud. Is it possible to decrease the volume?

Asked by: Alexandra
Thank you for your question. The maximum volume that the speaker can reach on the speaker can be adjusted on the device it's playing from. You should also be able to adjust the volume on the speaker itself.

Is there a smartphone app that works with this product where you can adjust equalizer settings etc.?

I'm using a generic equalizer app on an iPad to do just this (Equalizer+ Premium). It does the job for music, at least.

Is there any way to lower the minimum volume level when using it through bluetooth? The sound level at minimum setting is simply too loud. If not: could we get a firmware update to resolve all the issues related in this forum, including this one?

Asked by: Patrick
Found a work around (on iPad): use an equalizer to play music and lower all frequencies to lower the overall volume. Too bad the Get Together Mini sound volume control is so inflexible...
