Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I use the RCA connection?

 

    1. Before beginning, ensure the right speaker is fully charged. The right speaker will be labeled with an “R,” and it is a battery powered speaker.
      • The red LED will be on while charging and will go off when fully charged
    2. If the right speaker is not charged, plug in the USB-C cable, and connect the speaker to a power source.
    3. Plug an RCA cable into the left main-powered speaker
    4. Connect the other end of the cable into your preferred audio device
    5. Switch on the left (main-powered) speaker.
      • For RCA connections – press the power button twice to select RCA.
      • You will see a purple LED light when the speaker is in RCA mode.
    6. Switch on the right (battery powered) speaker making sure that it is in Bluetooth mode
      • Once the LED light is flashing blue, that means it is ready to pair
    7. If the speakers have never been paired before, follow the steps below. If they were already paired, proceed to the next step.
      • On the left speaker, press and hold the Bluetooth button until you hear a beep
      • Once you hear a beep, that means the speaker is looking to pair with the right speaker
    8. The speakers will be paired when you hear an announcement that says “left channel, right channel”
    9. Start playing audio from your device

2. How do I use the AUX input (AUX In)?

Note: When using the AUX input, True Wireless Sound is disabled, therefore you cannot pair two speakers with this type of connection.  

    1. Ensure the right speaker is fully charged
    2. Plug in the USB-C cable and connect the speaker to a power source
    3. Plug one end of the AUX cable into your audio device (e.g., mobile phone) and the other end into your speaker
    4. Turn the speaker on and press the button once for AUX mode. You will see the second LED turn solid red.
    5. Start playing audio from your device  

3. How do I connect the Get Together Duo to my mobile device through Bluetooth?

  1. Ensure the speakers are plugged in and the right speaker is fully charged. The right speaker will be labeled with an “R”, and it is a battery powered speaker.  
    • The red LED will be on while charging and will go off when fully charged
  2. If the right speaker is not charged, plug in the USB-C cable and connect the speaker to a power source.
  3. To pair your speakers, plug the power adaptor into the left (mains-powered) speaker
  4. Switch on the left speaker by pressing and holding the power button for 2 seconds
  5. Switch on the right (battery powered) speaker by pressing and holding the power button for 2 seconds
  6. In a few seconds, the two speakers should pair together automatically
  7. When paired, they will announce “left channel” “right channel”
  8. If the speakers don’t pair in 10 seconds, press and hold the Bluetooth button on the left (main-powered) speaker for 5 seconds until you hear a beep.  
  9. The second LED light will flash red and blue while the speakers pair together
  10. When paired, the speakers will announce “left channel” and “right channel”
    • The speakers are now ready to pair with your mobile device
    • Go into your device’s Bluetooth settings and click on “Get Together Duo x2”
    • When the pairing request pops up, press “Pair” on your device
  11. Your device will now be connected to the “Get Together Duo x2”
  12. Begin playing audio from your device and enjoy!

4. How do I connect the Get Together Duo to the Stir It Up Wireless Turntable?

    1. Ensure the speakers are plugged in and the right speaker is fully charged. The right speaker will be labeled with an “R”, and it is a battery powered speaker.

      • The red LED will be on while charging and will go off when fully charged

      • If the right speaker is not charged, plug in the USB-C cable and connect the speaker to a power source.

    2. To pair your speakers, plug the power adaptor into the left (mains-powered) speaker and switch it on by pressing and holding the power button for 2 seconds

    3. Switch on the right (battery-powered) speaker

    4. In a few seconds, the two speakers should pair together automatically

    5. When paired, the speakers will announce “left channel” and “right channel”

      • If the speakers don’t pair in 10 seconds, press, and hold the Bluetooth button on the left (mains-powered) speaker for 5 seconds until you hear a beep

      • The second LED light will flash red and blue while the speakers pair together

      • The speakers will then announce, “left channel” and “right channel”

    6. They are now ready to pair with your Stir It Up Wireless turntable

    7. Turn on the Stir It Up Wireless by selecting the desired speed

    8. Press the Bluetooth button to start pairing

    9. When paired, the blue LED light on the turntable will stop flashing

    10. If the speakers do not pair within 5 seconds, press the Bluetooth button again

    11. Begin playing a record and enjoy!

5. How do I connect the Get Together Duo to the Stir It Up Turntable?

    1. Ensure the speakers are plugged in and the right speaker is fully charged. The right speaker will be labeled with an “R” and it is a battery powered speaker.
      • The red LED will be on while charging and will go off when fully charged
    2. If the right speaker is not charged, plug in the USB-C cable and connect the speaker to a power source.
    3. Grab an RCA cable and plug the red and white cable into the back of the turntable
    4. Plug the free red cable into the back of the right speaker and the free white cable into the back of the left speaker
    5. Plug the left speaker into the mains and press the power button to switch it on
      • The second LED light will now flash blue
    6. Press the power button twice to select RCA mode.
      • The LED light will then turn solid purple
    7. Switch the right speaker on and press the power button twice to select RCA mode, the second LED light will go solid purple
    8. Set the pre-amp switch to on
    9. Set up your Stir It Up Turntable
    10. Place your vinyl switch on, select the desired speed and move the tone arm into position
    11. Begin playing audio and enjoy!

6. How do I play different audio on each of my Get Together Duo speakers?

Note: to play different audio on each of your Get Together Duo speakers, you will need to play audio to one speaker with an AUX or RCA connection and the other speaker with a Bluetooth connection.

    1. Ensure the speakers are plugged in and the right speaker is fully charged. The right speaker will be labeled with an “R”, and it is a battery powered speaker.
      • The red LED will be on while charging and will go off when fully charged
      • If the right speaker is not charged, plug in the USB-C cable, and connect the speaker to a power source.
    2. Connect an AUX or RCA cable to the left speaker and to the device you would like to play music from
    3. Switch the other speaker into Bluetooth mode by clicking the Bluetooth button on the speaker.
    4. Go into your device’s Bluetooth settings and click on “Get Together Duo x2”
    5. When the pairing request pops up, press “Pair” on your device
    6. Your device will now be connected to the “Get Together Duo x2”
    7. Begin playing audio from your devices and enjoy!

15. How do I pair the Get Together Duo to a different device?

    1. On the left speaker, press and hold the Bluetooth button until you hear a beep

      • Once you hear a beep, that means the speaker is looking to pair with the right speaker

    2. Go into your device’s Bluetooth settings and click on “Get Together Duo x2”

    3. When the pairing request pops up, press “Pair” on your device

    4. Your device will now be connected to the “Get Together Duo x2”

16. What are the recyclable pieces of Get Together Duo?

    • Every piece of the Get Together Duo can be recycled at an e-waste recycling facility. 

17. How do I recycle my product?

    • House of Marley believes in respect for the earth, which is why we develop products with upcycled materials. Please contact your local e-waste recycling center for drop-off instructions. Unfortunately, due to the complex assembly of the earbuds, they cannot be placed in a standard recycle receptacle
