Michael Ho - Surf

The most consistent performer of the past three decades on the heaviest stretch of surf in the world happens to be one of the smallest. At a mere 5'5" and 135 pounds, Michael Ho personally proved size to be of little importance when it comes to bravery on the North Shore of Oahu. His expertise was not limited to big surf, as he became a highly successful and feared competitor in all conditions, finishing in the ASP Top 16 for 10 consecutive seasons. He was a two-time winner of the Hawaiian Triple Crown, the Duke Classic and the World Cup, as well as the 1982 Pipe Masters, during which he surfed with a cast on his broken wrist. Known as “Uncle Mike” along the North Shore, he has two children -- Mason and Coco. Both have made their own names in professional surfing.

How Michael Lives Marley

Bob Marley has been an inspiration for so many years it's hard to put it to words. When the sun rises and the waves are firing and I know I'm about to challenge myself again, or when the first big set of the season at Sunset smashes me, I'm inspired. I live an island life and the vibe of Bobs words flows through how I live daily.

Music that Inspires Michael

Music is the pulse of life. It frees me to react when I'm stuck thinking. Music has a rhythm like the ocean, it's part of everything I am.
