Rated 5 out of 5 by from Breath of Fresh Air First off, the design is a wow factor, this sort of design is hard to come by in a world of headphones that actually sound good, this is a breath of fresh air as the title states. I thought the natural wood exodus wireless looked good too, but when you see the dark wood on dark parts in person, you fall in love with it straight away. I also like the fact that individual headphones all have different grain patterns of wood, because well, they are natural. I took them out of the package straight away outside of the store and wore it back home to test the ANC (we have a more relaxed COVID 19 policies here in Japan), I also own a pair of Sony with a fairly decent ANC, and while this headphone's ANC is not outright amazing, it does the job of blocking out most of the noises in the city. What I did notice is that it somewhat lets through frequencies of typical human voice or high heel step noises. Most of the humming, continuous sounds from say, an air-con or ceiling fans are effectively blocked. Haven't tried the ANC on a plane yet so I'm not gonna go there. I would consider myself being into audio (but not to the point where I would by thousand dollar cables and believe in "aging") and boast a range of decent headphones and amps, but I have always had a spot for marleys purely because they make music sound fun and energetic despite all the frequency charts and analysis provided by hifi review sites. The only other headphones that did it for me in this regard was the portapros. They sound as you would expect from headphones in this range, decent instrument separation, has a lot of bass but not overwhelming and annoying, and doesn't muddy out the other frequencies. What I did notice is that the headphone gives off different characteristic when connected by wire, sounds a lot crisp with less bass - but I like the house of marley tuned sound through the bluetooth and onboard dac/amp better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Happy I was looking for a pair of over-the-ear headphones to replace an old pair of SkullCandy x RocNation pair that were falling apart after almost 7 years of heavy use. I wanted, now that I have the money, to upgrade to wireless and ANC, and a quick search online led me to the House of Marley Exodus ANC. In the era of COVID-19, I haven't had the chance to try out the ANC aside from blocking my roommates somewhat overly-loud TV - I can't wait to see how these perform on a plane, where I generally get a seat right by the engine. The ANC is definitely noticeable when on vs when off, but I can still hear some of the TV program coming through. I think this may be more me than the headphones - I have a small head, so the cups kind of rest against my head rather than push in. I think a better seal on someone with a larger head may result in better noise cancellation. Love the monitor mode to easily turn off ANC and quiet the music - so much easier than pausing music and adjusting the headphones. The sound is FANTASTIC. I love the bass I hear in them - not at all overwhelming like some headphone review sites suggested it might be. I'm no audiophile, but my classic rock collection sounds beautifully balanced. I rarely use Siri on my iPhone, so I haven't had any of the issues with headphone controls that some people have reported. I love that these are environmentally conscious, with very little plastic (limited to the covering of the ear cups and the headband padding). Everything things very solid and well made. The wood is beautiful (though I wish a blonde wood option was available, similar to the Exodus). Even the cords (charging and line-in) came wrapped in a twine as opposed to a metal-and-plastic twist-tie. Hopefully these will last me a long time, but I'd love to see HoM start a recycling program for its products. And the ear cups are NOT leather, as customer service reps have said, though the HoM website advertises that they use real leather. I'm not vegan/vegetarian, so as long as these last as long as a leather pair would, I'm ambivalent about it. Overall, great headphones that I'll recommend to anyone (and am recommending as a group-gift to my father). While I'd like more ANC, I understand I'm at the $250 price point and not the $400, so I'll take it all in-stride. I did take off one star because I'd like to see a few things: 1. More adjustability in size - I have to wear it on the smallest size 'setting' as a 30-year-old adult woman. Maybe the headband from the non-ANC Exodus would work better for me, but I wanted ANC, so here we are. 2. An option for the lighter wood, as it is for the non-ANC Exodus. 3. An app that allows me to "adjust" the levels of bass/treble/etc like I have for my bluetooth speaker and Jaybird Tarah running headphones 4. I have some discomfort wearing for 3+ hours when wearing my glasses. I suspect this is more of a me-issue than an Exodus ANC-issue, and hope that it may go away as I break these in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Headphones Hands Down I’ve used probably 4 professional studio monitors in the past, but none are as comfortable and reliable as the Exodus ANC’s. They are built very strong with quality parts that far exceed other headphones. The battery life is outstanding- these things keep the music going for a long long time... Also the sound quality is superb even when wireless

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes!! I've had these for a couple of weeks, and they're the bee's knees. The noise cancellation works really well, and I like that I can use the aux cord as well to save the battery and for microphone purposes. They're comfortable, and the most eco-friendly headphones I'm aware of, so that's pretty sweet. No complaints so far :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best headphones for the money The exodus headphones have and insane low end bass especially with ANC turned on and have great comfort and sound quality. I would note that the headphones will suddenly turn off after a period of time not playing any sound through them, I can only assume this is due to an automatic turn off to save battery if you forget to turn them off but I cannot find anything that suggests the headphones have this feature.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sound and build quality, no app, loose fit I have de Exodus ANC for over 2 months now, and is has some positive and some negative points. The sound is great the bass is deep and you can really feel the air move, with ANC on it gives it a boost which is good but it feels like you miss something when you turn the ANC off, so I found myself having te ANC on even when it’d be quiet. The ANC filters the low sounds of trains and cars really good, but it doesn’t filter high sounds like vacuum cleaners as good as I had hoped. The fit is quite loose it feels like it’s falling off when you shake your head. The cushions are really soft and nice but my ear does hit the insite of the headphones, but they are really nice to wear for longer periods of time. It is a nightmare to pair the headphones to multiple devices. A lot of the times I had to delete the headphones off the Bluetooth list to be able to pair them again. The buttons on the headphones are really convenient placed. I can find them instantly they did a really good job with that. The battery life is insane I only had to charge it 3 times since I have them. You can see the battery life on your Iphone which is nice. Its a great deal for the money!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Build Quality...... Simply Amazing Put all other comments aside, the build quality.... This is how you make a set of headphones! All other headphone manufactures you have been put on notice, Marley has shown you up! No plastic rubbish, no flimsy hinges that is the Achilles heel of any head phone set, these things have a spring steel head band, steel hinges, steel rods, aluminium frames, wood inserts, feel amazing, sound awesome with the only gripe being the anc which isn't grate but I am happy to take the hit as build quality more than makes up for them. Even the cable has the Rastafarian colours in the plug! the attention to detail and quality is epic, The last 3 pairs of headphones i've owned (non by HOM) all developed issues in with the hinges rendering them useless, these hinges will out last an apocalypse. You could probably get better sounding headphones with better anc but what's the point if the fall apart?

I bought three pairs of Positive Vibrations 2 and the plastic broke on all three within a couple of months. I would love to try this model out but I'm afraid of investing in something that could possibly have a short life span.

Good morning dear house of Marley team, I'm wondering why you changed that strap band, of the Exodus ANC headphones, with the memory foam Polster. How comes and is it possible to get that feature also with the ANC version?

Asked by: Tiny Tina
Thank you for your question. We try to provide different styles of headphones so that a variety of people can find a pair to suit their needs. The headbands are not interchangeable.
