John Jackson - Snowboard
John Jackson long ago established himself as one of today’s top free-ride snowboarders and was recently ranked #17 on RedBull.com’s World’s Top 20 Snowboarders. He’s been featured in six Standard Films, two Forum Films and Red Bull’s “The Art of Flight”. John grew up in Crowley Lake, CA just down the road from Mammoth Mountain where he initially developed and now continues to hone his skills. In 2010, he earned both Rider of the Year and Video Part of the Year honors from Snowboarder and Transworld magazines, then followed up with an unprecedented repeat of all four titles for his two-part effort in Forum’s “F- It”. Last season, John put out an impressive part for X Games Real Backcountry, took 4th at the world-renowned, invite only competition called the Supernatural with a run that ended in a massive best trick-winning double cork and filmed a part for Burton’s movie “13”. Then he headed to Alaska to begin a 15k mile journey down to Chile filming Red Bull Media House’s Brothers on the Run.
