I wanted to purchase the best headphones for the money so I took advantage of both Future Shop and Best Buy's 30 day return policy to achieve my objective.

After literally trying 12 pairs my quest finally came to an end with the Marley TTR's. Think of a pair of headphones in this price range + or - $50 and I tried them. Too many brands to list.

The TTR's are just perfect for the sound I am looking for in an earphone. My only small and very small complaint is that they're a little too funky looking for my taste but the sound more than makes up for this. Also the noise canceling will not give you the impression that your brain is being sucked out with the outside noise like the Bose!

In conclusion, I can save you lots of time right now right here! These are the best sounding, most comfortable cans in this price range.

Was so impressed with the Marley Exodous, bought the Destiny TTR's , bigger & bolder sounding again with very detailed highs, don't overdrive the bass as they can break up under volume & can sound brash in the high end with some poorly recorded material, use decent electronics with good recordings & these are Magnificent with a very full big soundscape, friends who heard these didn't want to take them off, incredible sound from an iPod, keep up the great work House of Marley !

I love these headphones! They are awesome to behold from the moment you have the box in your hands. The package alone is spectacularly well-done, and it gets better from there as you open it up and experience the quality of materials. The self-adjusting headband is incredibly comfortable, and the ear-cups are totally cush. Sound quality ('hiss' withstanding) is beautiful. Rich, warm low end with authoritative attack. Smooth mids with just enough warmth to give it that supple classic sound. High ends are sparkling without getting tinny. And all on a soundstage that feels just the right size - not cramped, and not cavernous.

I really wanted to give these things 5 stars across the board, but there were a few issues.

1. The stitching on the ear-cups was already coming loose before I even got them out of the box. Most likely, I will be sending these in for a replacement pair, because at roughly $300, the quality of manufacturing should be flawless. I would be willing to accept a replacement set of ear-cups if they are user serviceable.

2. The way the ear-cups rest on your ears is slightly out of balance, causing a small gap at the bottom of your ear; this allows unwanted sound to travel in and pollute the music, and it allows your music to travel out and potentially disturb those around you. It is possible that as the leather wears in a bit, they could eventually settle into a more encapsulating fit.

3. The lack of volume controls on the iPod cable is a silly little oversight that definitely hurts the value of the package. If I want full control of my headphones when connected to the iPod, I would be forced to buy something like the ControlTalk from Monster which has a price tag of $40+. In a $300 bundle, this is somewhat unacceptable, and the team at House of Marley should definitely consider offering free or cheap replacement cables down the line with a more complete set of controls.

4. The Noise-Canceling. A lot has already been said about this in various places around the web, and I'll mostly just reiterate. It's not that good. It does remove some of the low frequency noises around the house, but the range of noise-canceling is not even close to what you'd get with the similarly priced BOSE headphones. Also, the 'hiss' that is introduced as soon as you turn on the headphones is very loud; in fact, it is loud enough that I'm wondering if perhaps mine are damaged direct from the factory?

With all that said...

A worthwhile purchase. Let's just hope that H-O-M addresses the problematic noise-canceling for those of us who are early adopters of their high-end headphones. And, please, a volume-control on the iPod cable should really be offered gratis or very affordably as an 'upgrade'.
