House of Marley and Collegefest 2012 Rock Beantown

School may be back in session, but that’s not stopping the House of Marley from reminding Boston-area students just how much of a party college can be. While books and brains are important, there is always time to enjoy some extracurricular activities. How can you get involved this weekend? Check out Collegefest 2012 and be ready to have your mind blown.

Bringing together some of today’s most epic performers, Collegefest 2012 and the House of Marley are ready to rock the roof off of the Hynes Convention Center on September 22 and 23. The first night’s entertainment includes exciting sets from the EDM king of Boston E-Marce, the synth-pop sounds of The Electric Sons and the catchy pop-punk of Basement Superheroes. Headlining on Saturday night is none other than Wale, Maybach Music’s smoothest emcee, whose take on hip-hop lies in the same vein of Drake and Kid Cudi.

The relentless pace doesn’t let up on Sunday as Collegefest 2012 continues with another night of essential live music. Leading the charge on Sunday night are The Cataracs, the production team who have taken over the charts since the debut of their hit “Like a G6” by Far Eastern Movement. In addition, Kap Slap, the prodigal DJ son of the Boston area, brings his EDM mashups to take the party to the next level.

If you’ve yet to experience the powerful feeling of listening to the sounds of reggae through a pair of Destiny TTR, a Bag of Rhythm or the brand new Get Up Stand Up home audio system, let Collegefest 2012 be your indoctrination to the #LiveMarley lifestyle.
